Suharev (Сухарев), Dmitry Antonovich (1930-)

Poet. Dmitry Suharev, also spelled Saharov, was born in Tashkent on January 11, 1930.  Currently he live sin Moscow.  In 1953 he graduated from the M.V. Lomonosov Institute in biology.    Member of the Union of Russian Writers. 

He is an important poet, whose poetry rings of a wonderful understanding of the Russian language.  His poems have been turned into songs by Berkovsky, Nikitin, Dulov, Borisov, and others. In 2000 Suharev was awarded the Sinyavsky Prize.
