Shershenevich (Шершеневич), Vadim Gabrilevich (1893-1942)

Russian Imaginist poet. Shershenevich was born in Kazan on January 25, 1893.  Shershenevich began writing poetry at the age of 17, and at that age published his first book of poetry.   In the late 1910s Shershenevich was close with Yesenin.  Shershenevich was sick with tuburculosis, and died in evacuation in Barnaul on May 18, 1942 during World War II.
