Aleshina (Алешина), Tatyana Vladimirovna (1961-)


Bard, poet, writer.  Aleshina was born on July 3, 1961 in Nezhin, three months later her family moved to Chelyabinsk-40, a city in the Urals.  Aleshina began working with music at the age of six.  In 1982 joined the musical theater Kukla (Toy), and in 1987 moved to Leningrad with the theater. By 1987 she was an accomplished student of music, studying classical piano and musical theory.  That same year she began writing songs, as well as melodies to the poetry of Pushkin, Blok, and other Russian poets.  First performed in public as a bard in 1992.  In 1993 won the grand prize in the St. Petersburg Festival of Non-Formal Theaters, as an art director among her other prizes.   From 1993 to 1995 three audiocassettes of Aleshina appeared.   In 1993 Aleshina joined the creative collective Asia.   Worked closely with Elena Frolova.  A CD in 2002 came out, Seconda Parte.
