Aizenberg (Айзенберг), Mihail Natanovich (1948-)

Poet. Born in Moscow in 1948, graduated from the Moscow Institute of Architecture.  Like most poets who did not fit into the mold of official Soviet poetry Aizenberg published his works abroad in the 1970s.  He started being published in Russia only during the time of perestroika in 1988, with a collection of poems titled New Poems.  It was not until 1995 that Aizenberg’s works once again began to appear in Russia, and since then a steady stream of poetry has appeared.  Currently Aizenberg works as a teacher at the School of Modern Art in Moscow.
