Abramovich (Абрамо́вич), Nikolai Yakovlevich (1881-1922)

Russian poet, critic, historian, and publicist.  Abramovich was born in the port-city of Taganor in the Rostov Oblast.  He is the younger brother of Symbolist poet Vladimir Abramovich who wrote by the name of Vladimir Lensky.   Heavily influenced by Nitizhe and Henri Bergson.   Like his older brother Abramovich often wrote under the pseudonym of N. Kadmin – under which he published a two volume history of Russian poetry.  He died in Moscow in 1922, and it is believed that he suffered from a form of madness or depression.
