Abramov (Абрамов), Herman Moiseevich (1906-)


Russian poet and translator.  Abramov was born in Odessa on July 4, 1906. He graduated in 1931 from the M. V. Lomonosov Institute.  Became a member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union in 1927.  First book of poems appeared in 1966, High Water.   In 1975 appeared a book of translations from the poet Pahmatullin.   Abramov joined the Soviet Union of Writers in 1974.
