Abelyadev (Абельдя́ев), Dmitri Alekseyevich (1865-1915)

Russian writer.  Born in the village of Rassohovets in the Kursk province.   Grew up in Kursk.   He came onto the literary scene in 1895 with the publication of his short story, Antip the Soldier and his Wife Pelagya.   Many of his stories were published in the journal Russian Thought.   Abelyadyev was influenced by the literary movements of Decadance and Naturalism.  In 1913 his first novel was published, The Shadow’s of This Era.  In 1914 his second novel, Lilly, was published in Moscow.
