Abaginsky (Абагинский), Arhip Giorgievich (1907-1960)

Sakhian poet.  Born in the village of Abaga.  Abaginsky’s first publications appeared in 1927.  He was a member of the Russian communist party, and wrote in the Yakutsk language.  Sakha is a federal republic in the Russian federation in Siberia.   Abaginsky is often referred to as a “Soviet” poet.
